Joyce is an award winning, versatile actress who was born in Chicago. She has performed in numerous independent films and plays as well as several TV shows and commercials. She has also performed voice overs and audio-books. She studied dance and singing as a child, but switched her focus to acting at the University of Illinois at Champaign. She received an M.A. in Theater from Northwestern University and spent many years as a professor of theater, humanities and film at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. While there she continued to act in local theaters., including a play where she met her late husband She accepted an early retirement offer to focus on a professional acting career.
Some highlights since then, are appearing in "Better Call Saul", a 2 person scene with Frank Vincent, and traveling the festival circuit with "Stairs", a solo film, which received numerous awards, including eleven for Best Actress. While based in Chicago, Joyce has also worked in Los Angeles, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri and Iowa. Her son, David, is a lighting designer and electrician.. She is the author of the book "Mastering Senior Life: Thriving and Surviving", which is both reference book and memoir.
