Biography

Writer, producer and director Javier Montoya had his start as an actor on NBC's Crossing Jordan. Years as an actor/ stuntman Javier transitioned into production world. Starting as a PA on several films and TV shows he worked his way up from a Production Assistant to an Assistant Director. Now with a list of upcoming projects as a producer including the high school comedy Divos, about egos colliding when a self proclaimed Broadway Legend in the Making is forced to share the spotlight with the school's star athlete in the high school's musical. Co-founder of Showdown Production.

His first big break came when he got a speaking part in the Val Kilmer movie "Columbus Day". Excited about his part in the film he told everyone and their grandmother to watch him in the movie but when the film was released he found out to never tell anyone about any film or show you've worked on until your sure you're not on the cutting room floor.

While filming an episode for "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" was accidentally head butted by another actor. He was rushed to the ER where he found out his nose was broken.

Trained as a kick boxer.
