- Had an ongoing feud with MMA legend, and Chute Boxe representative, José "Pelé" Landi-Jons. They fought twice in Brazilian Vale Tudo Championship 1 and World Vale Tudo Championship 4. Pelé won both fights by submission (strikes) and by TKO (doctor stoppage). These bouts are considered by many to be two of the most greatest fights in MMA history.
