Kerin Hayden

Kerin Hayden was born in Michigan and raised in Ypsilanti, where her mother taught third grade in the same consolidated school district in which Hayden later taught high school science.
She began performing in school productions and studied dance at the Marjorie Randazzo School of Dance. At Western Michigan University she was a cheerleader and a member of the dance team, and she went on to earn a graduate degree from Marygrove College and another from Madonna University. As a teacher she coached varsity cheer and dance, served as a class advisor, and wrote grants funding solar research in Arizona and curriculum development in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Oregon. She founded the all-star cheerleading program Michigan Extreme.
After moving to Los Angeles she took a recurring role on The Bold and the Beautiful and appeared in Entourage, Close to Home, and Cuts, along with independent films including Hollywood, Je T'aime and Dangerous Worry Dolls, working alongside Martin Landau, Sally Kirkland, Chad Allen, and Jenny McCarthy. She co-hosted an episode of the science series Stuff Happens with Bill Nye, and performed stand-up at the Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Laugh Factory. She trained with The Groundlings, Lesly Kahn, The Purple Rose (Jeff Daniels Michigan Theater), Ivana Chubbuck, and Vincent Chase. Her films have screened at festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival.
She continues to work on screen, appearing in Melanin (2023), and her performance as Liz in Dangerous Worry Dolls appears again in Dangerous Worry Dolls Noir (2025), Full Moon's black-and-white re-release of the film. Much of her earlier screen work is credited as Ker'in Hayden.
Hayden has since returned to Michigan, where she teaches science, works in real estate as Kerin Hayden Goedert, the third generation of her family in the business, after her grandfather's Goedert Real Estate and writes about artificial intelligence and its cultural effects under the name Thought Chemistry. She is the author of The Grey: The Book AI Would Never Write About Itself.
