- Hisani DuBose is known for The Vanishing Black Male (2005) and The House of Malik (2012).
- She is the founder/director of NJ Movie Maker's Network, a service organization for New Jersey's independent film/video community. They provide workshops and screenings for filmmakers.
- Hisani began as a playwright having her first musical, Different Kinda Blues premiere at Seton Hall University and move to a regional theater for a successful run. Three of her musicals premiered and/or had professional readings in New York City and New Jersey.
