- Pedro Jaén R. was born on February 15, 1982 in Lucena, Spain. His parents were both school teachers. He began a self-taught in 1996, after working with various magazines. At this stage, from 1997 to 2000, are a large number of CGI works, literary stories and his first short films. In 2000 he went to Madrid to study Audiovisual Communication at the European University, graduating in 2005. He worked on numerous short films, among them X-Y (2004). He completed his learning with the director/producer Antonio Gonzalo, the prestigious scriptwriter Syd Field, and at the ECAM. Since 2007 he has shot several short films, among them Oftalmós (2007), Salvación (2011), Cuando nieva sobre el hielo del infierno (2012) and Orpheize (2015), being selected and awarded in several festivals around the world, and attending some as prestigious as Cannes, San Sebastian or Sitges.
