Set in a community with its traditions, the story deals in a subtle way with the attempt to preserve a childhood love. The young director has succeeded in moving us by her portrayal of a steadfast woman.

Eva Neymann and her fellow filmmakers have crafted a haunting work of cinematic art that brings us face to face with the hardships of war through the eyes of an innocent child.

Due to Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, the films of the festival's national competition were shown to the audience and jury as part of a special guest program during the Krakow Film Festival in Poland.
