Urbano Tavares Rodrigues was born on 8 December 1923 in Lisbon, Portugal. He was a writer, known for Retalhos da Vida de um Médico (1980), Impossível Evasão (1983) and Memories and Confessions (1993). He was married to Maria Judite de Carvalho. He died on 9 August 2013 in Lisbon, Portugal.
