Biography

Lluís Permanyer was born on September 5, 1939 in Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He was a director and writer, known for Miss Dalí (2018), El meu Molino (2010) and La Rambla, secrets d'un escenari (2011). He died on October 23, 2025 in Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

Wanted to be a diplomat to escape the Barcelona oppressed by Francisco Franco but ended up becoming its most illustrious chronicler.

Received numerous awards, including the National Journalism Award of Catalonia (2008), the National Cultural Journalism Award from the ministry (2022), the Luca de Tena Award (1969), and the City of Barcelona Journalism Award (1987).
