Navnita Sen

A professional Editor in TV18, New Delhi, with the credit of editing many cult shows, Navnita left her lucrative job and joined Film & Television Institute of India, Pune to further enhance her knowledge of cinema. After graduating from FTII in 2004, Navnita has edited several award winning Feature Films, Web series, Short films, Advertisement and Documentary Films. She was also the in-house editor of Post-production studio Prime Focus, for a couple of years. Apart from India, she has done extensive work for Bangladesh and the Middle East. She has recently edited a Bollywood feature film for Viacom, a Docu drama series for Wiz Films and is now editing a feature film for a leading production house in Mumbai. In 2025 Navnita won the Filmfare for Best Editing for the Marathi feature film 'Ghaath'. She donned the director's hat when she wrote and directed a short film 'Visitors' which, won her the award for 'Best Director' and 'Best Short Film' in two prestigious international film festivals. The film was also picked up by Disney Hotstar, to feature in their short film section. Navnita turned producer with her company Finchbill Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., producing the feature film Shadow Assassins which released theatrically in India in 2022 and Singapore in 2023. She also produced and directed the short film Vishaad which premiered at the prestigious Kolkata International Film Festival. Navnita's constant endeavour to enrich a film with meaningful layers, whether as an editor, director or producer, makes her a much sought after film professional, both in mainstream and the alternative space.
