- Dean Knowsley was born on November 23, 1974 in Wellington, New Zealand. He is an actor, known for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013).
- Dean became inspired to be a pilot after watching James Cameron's Aliens, which he achieved along with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation. He then went on to consult and act as a pilot on James Cameron's Avatar 23 years later.
