Barbara Gips was born on July 10, 1936 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. She was an actress, known for Loveless in Los Angeles (2007) and Chloe and Keith's Wedding (2009). She was married to Philip Gips. She died on October 16, 2025 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA.

Wrote the famous copy line for the hit movie 'Alien' 1979: "In space no one can hear you scream".

Also wrote copy for other popular movies in the late 70's and early 80's

Graduated from Boston University with a BFA in Drama.

Received a Master's of Arts from Columbia University.
