- I have a really strong belief that all the devices we have access to take us out of the moment a lot of times. I'm at a gig and I'll see fifty percent of the people holding up their phones to capture what they should be watching. They aren't in the moment, sharing things with those around them. I'm actually a big fan of turning off my phone and ignoring it for large chunks of the day.
- [observation, 2013] A few things have come together for me. One of them was that I did a collaboration with a guy named King Creosote, which got a Mercury nomination in England. That made me think that the press was finally going to get behind me. I think that the world as a whole is also interested in electronic music at the moment, and that's also helped.
