Biography

  • Aaron Kozak is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and show businessman. Originally from Grapevine, Texas; Aaron received a B.F.A. in Drama from the Max Weitzenhoffer college of Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma, where he studied theatre and film. He moved to Los Angeles in 2005, and still lives there today. He's the president of Winner Entertainment LLC, a company which offers a very unique variety of business and creative services for a multitude of well-known entertainment companies and projects.

Aaron studied acting under many teachers, including Emmy Award Winner Larry Drake and Lou Diamond Phillips, and performed in over forty plays before taking time to focus on writing/directing. In 2010, Kozak won the first ever Fringe First Award at the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival with his play "The Birthday Boys." The show went on to get rave Off-Broadway reviews, and the Springboard grant from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney, Australia; along with a highly publicized international run. The show was also produced as the first live theatre event since the Vaudeville era at the Historic Texas Theatre in Dallas, Texas; a venue best known as the capture location of Lee Harvey Oswald. The run was recognized as Dallas' top touring show of the year, alongside the Broadway tour of "Billy Elliot."

During that period, Aaron also spent time behind the scenes as a production accountant. In his early years in Los Angeles, Aaron worked freelance in many different accounting departments, servicing nearly every area of the movie business. This included working on set, agencies, managers, distributors, editing facilities, feature marketing, media fulfillment, and the personal books for a few celebrities. He even completed a temporary gig in the corporate accounting department of Landmark Theaters, auditing the revenue for around seventy movie theaters across the country.

His unique blend of business and creative backgrounds, led him to form his own company, Winner Entertainment LLC. Through the company, he and his team offer many different services, including: accounting/business management, writing, producing, scoring, audio/video editing, and more. He also continues to develop his own projects and scripts.
