Biography

Travis Betz was born on December 16, 1976 in South Bend, Indiana, USA. He is a director and writer, known for Lo (2009), The Dead Inside (2011) and ABCs of Death 2.5 (2016).

His first production company was named Bessina Maker, a take-off of the Messina Baker Entertainment Corporation, where he was then employed as a receptionist.

When YouTube was in its infancy, Betz had an unfulfilling job answering the phone. In an effort to keep his sanity, he began making short films using construction paper for sets, props, and other characters, and his YouTube alter-ego, The Receptionist, would indulge in a variety of quirky fantasies and situations.
