Denver Jade Fowler (Denver Jade) was both an aspiring actor and musician, enjoying much more success in the latter. As it applies to acting, his most notable part was his role as a featured extra in the movie Jimmy and Judy (Outsider Pictures), a film that would go on to receive "Best Feature" at the 2006 San Francisco Independent Film Festival and receive the "MySpace.com Award for Best Feature" at the 2006 Newport Beach Film Festival, among other awards. However, Denver later somewhat criticized the film stating, "the experience taught me that as an actor, it is important to read the entire script of a movie before deciding if you want to be part of it...even if only in a featured extra capacity." He later elaborated on this statement, by simply stating he did not necessarily agree with some of the content in the movie. Nonetheless, he also stated he enjoyed his time on set and spoke highly of actress, Rachael Bella (The Crucible, The Ring). As previously noted, Denver enjoyed much more success as a musician as the lead singer/guitarist of several bands including Merge, The City Limits Stop, Guided Tours, and lastly, The Jaded (ultimately, all being housed under the name, Denver Jade and The Jaded). From roughly 1999-2005, many considered The Jaded as one of the most popular underground indie rock bands in the United States. The Jaded recorded six self-released albums (including EPs, demos, live & full-length), with the last two being full-length albums: (1) a self-titled album, "The Jaded" (2005); and (2) a sort of 'best of' album, "1.618 Sunset Boulevard" (2011), with all but the last album being released off their own independent record label (Ni Ni Records). For the self-titled album released in 2005, The Jaded worked with Grammy nominated producer, Jeff Anderson (Sound Logic Studios) in Lafayette, Indiana and Ron Boustead (Smashing Pumpkins, Rolling Stones) in Los Angeles, California. Notably, The Jaded's self-titled album was well-received and garnered national attention. In 2005, the album was released to a sold-out crowd at Promowest-The Basement (Columbus, OH) before the band was to embark on an international U.S./U.K. tour (the U.K. leg of the tour would later be cancelled). In all, The Jaded would play 43 shows in 20 different U.S. states, playing shows at many of the nation's most well-known music venues including The Viper Room (Hollywood, CA), The Baggot Inn (Greenwich Village, NY), and The Continental (Buffalo, NY), to name of few. Over the years, The Jaded shared the stage with many prominent bands and musicians, including Earwig, House of Heroes, New Republic, Fly Union, and Blessid Union of Souls, to name a few. Denver officially retired from the stage in 2005; however, he and a former bandmate would release a sort of 'best of' album titled "1.618 Sunset Boulevard" in 2011 featuring 22 songs recorded by Denver Jade and The Jaded between 1999-2005 respectively. When asked about the 'best of' album, Denver stated, "the 'best of' album served as a sort of bookend to that period of my life. In many regards, it was a way for me to officially move on and focus my time and energy elsewhere."
