Jack Ashton was Born in Bristol, his Father was an Artist and Mother worked in Education. He grew up in the Clifton & Bedminster areas. He then moved to London to study Acting professionally. Since leaving Drama school he has remained London based. He works in Theatre, TV, Film, Radio and has a voice over career.

Has been in a relationship with Helen George since April 2016, having met on the set of Call the Midwife (2012). They have two children together.
