- Per Heimly (born 1972) is a Norwegian Sami art, fashion and advertisement photographer living in Oslo. He grew up with six older sisters in the Sami village Snubba in Evenes, Nordland. 16 years old he picked up the camera, went to Oslo and declared war on the reigning view on photography. Heimly is also one of the founders of the fashion and art magazine, Fjords - a magazine recognized for contributing to making modern Nordic culture and design available to an international audience.
Today, Heimly is one of Norway's most recognized photographers with a long track record in fashion and commercial works. However, Per Heimly primarily does art photography, and he works increasingly with his photographic art, to the joy of audiences and art collectors all across the world.
