Chael Sonnen was born on 3 April 1977 in West Linn, Oregon, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Here Comes the Boom (2012), Meet Dave (2008) and Grudge Match (2013). He is married to Brittany Smith. They have one child.

He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology.

Ran as the Republican candidate for the 37th district of the Oregon House of Representatives in 2010. That June, he dropped out of the race, referring to a &quot;2006 legal issue&quot; involving real estate.

Mixed martial artist, promoter and entrepreneur. Fought professionally in MMA under the UFC and Bellator.
