- Van Hansis was born on September 25, 1981 in North Adams, Massachusetts, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for As the World Turns (1956), Eastsiders (2012) and Kiss Me, Kill Me (2015).
- As a child, grew up on a mountain in a home which never had a TV.
- He unsuccessfully auditioned for the 2nd season of the reality show "I Wanna Be a Soap Star." Then within that year, he was cast as Luke on "As the World Turns".
- Van's first feature length film "Occupant" premiered on October 14, 2011 at the Gotham Screen International Film Festival in New York City.
- Has a BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama.
