Biography

Alex Goyette is a writer and director whose feature debut, Breeder (2026) premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Festival. The horror thriller was acquired by Independent Film Company and Shudder for a theatrical release and received the International Critics’ Prize at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival.

His screenplay for Breeder was previously the grand prize winner of the 2023 Cinequest Screenplay Competition and the #1 recommended script in The Black List newsletter. Goyette’s directing work also includes the Peacock horror series So Shook (2018) and two narrative short films starring Academy Award nominee John Hawkes.
