  • Craig Abaya (Producers Guild of America) is a native San Franciscan, producer and director, known for Retro Girl (2016), Ambush (2016), If I Had a Twin (2015), Bruce Hornsby Live at Villa Montalvo (2002), and Joan Armatrading All the Way From America (2004). He is also an independent recording artist who has won several awards in songwriting, including 10 from Billboard Magazine.

  • Earned his first screen credit from footage he shot at age 12, for the TV Movie, San Francisco in the 70s (1990).
  • While working on several creative projects, he also served as Director of Digital Media & Entertainment Programs (a title he created) for San Francisco State University Extended Learning. Along with long time colleague, Philip J. Gallegos (DGA), he created the Digital Video Intensive for the university which he ran from 2002 - 2015.
  • First collaborated in film with Philip J. Gallegos at age 15, to create the short film The Fighting Fool.
  • Became interested in filmmaking at a young age. He made his first film The Battle of McLaren Park with his friends at age 9. Needing a shot of a bomber jet, he spliced in a shot of Clint Eastwood as a bomber pilot from the 1950s Sci-Fi film, Tarantula.
  • A celebrated concert still photographer, Craig got his start by borrowing cameras and making his own laminated press passes.
