- Adriana Rotaru is a Romanian-American independent film producer, screenwriter, and director.
In 2005 she began a long-term collaboration with Francis Ford Coppola and his company American Zoetrope. Producing notable productions worldwide, Adriana has been privileged to work with top-tier talent and crew who have become lifelong collaborators.
Her films "Emily the Criminal" (2022) and "Fairyland" (2023) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and "Megalopolis" (2024) has been selected for the Cannes Film Festival competition. "Emily the Criminal" was nominated for four Spirit Awards, and won in the Best First Screenplay category.
In 2025, Adriana brought Subterranean Towers to life on stage, directing John Savage and Joanne Whalley in a production that premiered at The Fountain Theatre and was met with public acclaim.
With a degree in Finance and an MFA in Directing from UCLA, Adriana is committed to developing original projects for theater, film, and television.
