Jen Kuhn is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, actor, and writer. She recently completed her debut feature, "Gracias Padre", which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in.
A classically trained cellist, she has recorded on over 200 film and television scores, informing her sense of rhythm and cinematic storytelling. She began her career as a recording musician before transitioning into acting, with roles in series including "Parenthood," "Castle," "The Mentalist," and "Boston Legal."
Her original scripts have advanced to the second round of the Sundance Screenwriting Lab and the Austin Film Festival. She has worked as Script Coordinator and Writer’s Assistant on "Mozart in the Jungle" and as Script Coordinator on "Modern Love."
She also served as Line Producer on "Lear Rex," directed by Bernard Rose and starring Al Pacino, and worked as Director’s Assistant to Kat Coiro on pilot productions for Twentieth Television.
