Ian S. Takahashi was born on February 20, 1983 in Napa County, California, USA. He is a cinematographer and director, known for Skyline (2010), The Suicide Squad (2021) and Caddo Lake (2024). He has been married to Corinna Vistan since 2008.

Worked for Francis F. Coppola when he was 19. Electric, Best Boy Electric, and then Gaffer.

His debut feature as the Director of Photography, was a hit at Sundance 2006, and got theatrical release world wide.
