Kara Alise Connolly is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who has worked on a variety of projects such as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Wiener Dog Internationals (as seen on Netflix), and Whiplash (opposite industry legend Ernest Borgnine). She is a graduate of The University of Southern California (USC) within the School of Dramatic Arts. Kara Alise Connolly is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Despite being a wholly independent, self-supported artist, she ended 2019 nominated for two Hollywood Music in Media Awards (Best Independent Music Video and Best Message Song/Social Impact), on the first-round GRAMMY® ballot for "Best Pop Vocal" album, and ranked in industry insider Music Connection Magazine's December issue as one of their Top 4 Unsigned Artists/New Music Critiques of the year. Kara had just released her very first record "Life in Rear View" (2019) to sold-out shows at LA hotspots such as The Hotel Cafe and Interscope's The Peppermint Club, as well as rave reviews in tastemaker publications praising her "unabashedly addictive" and "honest" writing, "powerful" storytelling sensibilities, "gorgeous tone and vibrato," "invitingly open hearted" presence, creative visuals, and "empowering" perspective. Her devoted supporters (or "Karakeets" as they have so proudly claimed their fandom) had a lot to tweet about.

Mid-2021, Kara was back with "Something More" and something different-a new single-whose enchanting music video landed as SPIN Magazine's Video of the Day multiple days in a row and has received over a quarter of a million views on YouTube and counting. It also led to her third Hollywood Music in Media Award nomination in 2021 for "Best Independent Music Video." The song has been praised by various outlets for its vulnerable lyrics, universal message, infectious melodies, anthemic chorus, and dreamy blend of 90s alt-pop production. Her track "Roses" was featured in Rolling Stone IN and American Songwriter and charted on "What's In-Store Music" via AllAccess for spinning in retail stores across the country such as Subway, Staples, Walmart, and Hyatt around 60K times a week. She premiered "Roses" and an exclusive first live performance of the song on KTLA 5 News Los Angeles, who interviewed Kara about the powerful messages in her music and her creative process. Her 2022 release, "Emotional Vampires," resulted in an interview with LADYGUNN Magazine and 50,000 Spotify streams in less than a month.

As a songwriter, Kara has written songs that have topped multiple Spotify editorial playlists, and she has received major placements within studio films, network television shows, and ads for Lionsgate, ABC, Netflix, Showtime, IKEA, NBA 2K and more. She has written songs such as "Wink Wink" and "Video Games" for Teddi Gold, "Dreamland," "Swept Up," "Afraid of the Dark," "Superterrestrial Humanoid," and "Moon Song" for Kaatii, and "TBH IDK" for Elyse Jewel. Represented by Low Profile NYC for music licensing and Malibu Artists Agency for acting, Kara shows no sign of stopping. She played soccer and tennis growing up, and was on the surf team in high school, but was more interested in theater and would drive up to Los Angeles bi-weekly for acting classes and auditions.

Kara Alise Connolly was born in San Diego, California to parents Robert Gerard Connolly, a former member of the Navy and radiologist, and Andrea Alise Connolly, a pharmacist. She has a younger brother, Kyle Robert Vito Connolly, who also graduated from The University of Southern California (USC) in the Marshall School of Business.

Kara booked her first film role at the age of 6, but moved around a lot as a child due to her father&#39;s role as a Navy doctor, residing in Corpus Christi, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, Gilbert, AZ, and Park City, UT, eventually finding her way back to San Diego and then later Los Angeles for college.

Is a Registered Yoga Instructor and has been practicing for 10+ years.
