Ursula Ellis is an LA-based writer / director and alum of the Northwestern BS & Columbia University MFA film programs. Her short film AVA IN THE END premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2019 and was released on Shudder, Omeleto, and DUST. Her award-winning MFA thesis, CRICK IN THE HOLLER, received an Alfred P. Sloan Production Grant. Her anthology short OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD lives on Hulu as part of 20th Digital Studio / Disney's Bite-Size Halloween series (2021). She is the 2026 Stowe Story Labs Production Grant winner for the upcoming ARLENE IN 5B.
