Sofia Veroni was a distinguished actress of Greek musical theater, known for her elegance and presence on stage. She was one of the leading ladies of revue and operetta before and after World War II. Coming from a theatrical family, she began her career as a child prodigy alongside her younger sister, Ketty Veroni as the popular "Veronakia" duo, making their mark on the stage even before the famous "Kaloutakia" sisters. She was the daughter of actors Dimitris Veronis and Ourania Veroni and the niece of the renowned Aikaterini Veroni, one of the most significant Greek actresses of the 19th century. Throughout her career, she was part of major theatrical troupes that staged important productions. She was married to Menelaos Theofanidis, a composer of musical theater who wrote some of the greatest hits for artists such as Sofia Vempo, Rena Vlahopoulou, and Stella Greka. Veroni frequently performed in revues featuring her husband's music, collaborating with prominent figures like Sofia Vempo and the Kalouta sisters. She appeared at renowned theaters such as "Akropol" and "Kyveli" and toured both in Greece and internationally.
