Biography

Jose Climaco is known for Parola (1949), Harana sa karagatan (1952) and Nasaan ka, giliw (1951).

The first movie he directed (Sa kabukiran (1947)) starred his real life partner Lilian Velez and former child star Narding Anzures.

Played by Joel Torre in The Lilian Velez Story: Till Death Do Us Part (1995) which chronicled the murder of his wife.

Like his idol Alfred Hitchcock, he usually appeared in some of his movie in cameo role.

A native of Cebu in the Philippines.
