Biography

Melissa Lowe is an actor known for Reckless and Being Mary Jane. She has been a performer all her life, dancing, singing, and acting. Born in Augusta, Georgia, her family moved around all over the state and up the east coast before finally settling in Millen, a small south Georgia town. After receiving her degree in Theatre from Georgia Southern University, she moved to Atlanta to pursue her career as an actor professionally.

Melissa is the only child of Dale M. Bailey & John Lowe. Her stepfather is Harvey Bailey.

She attended Jenkins County High School in Millen, GA. She was a cheerleader for 4 years & captain her Senior year. She was also won the school Sweetheart Pageant her senior year.

Attended Georgia Southern University. Won the Theatre & Performance Scholarship. Graduated with a degree in Theatre with a minor in English Literature.

Her mother works for the school food nutrition program at the local elementary school. Her father is a retired masonry contractor. Her stepfather is retired Army, Special Forces and Drill Sargeant.

Engaged to Paul Mazza on October 1, 2012.
