Scott Ganz was born on September 20, 1978 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is a writer, known for WordGirl (2007), Son of the Beach (2000) and The Showbiz Show with David Spade (2005). He has been married to Brooke Schreier Ganz since 2003. They have two children.

Father Lowell Ganz is a writer/producer for both television and film, sister Allison Ganz is a studio analyst, brother Simon Ganz is a television writer, uncle Jeffrey Ganz is a writer/director, cousin David Bickel is a television writer/producer, and cousin Nancy Churnin is a writer.

Longtime writing partner was Andrew Samson; the two met at the University of Pennsylvania and were co-editors of the college humor magazine "Punch Bowl".
