Cécile Rol Tanguy was born on 10 April 1919 in Royan, Saintonge, France. She was married to Henri Rol Tanguy. She died on 8 May 2020 in Monteaux, Loir-et-Cher, France.
Member of the Communist party , she met Henri Tanguy, become his wife and his assistant during the Réésistance. He was one of the main leaders in the libération of Paris in August 1944. She died on the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII in Europe.
