Irish composer and conductor Eímear Noone made history at the 92nd Academy Awards in 2020 when she became the first woman ever to conduct the orchestra during an Oscar telecast. Renowned for her work across film, video games, and the concert stage, Eímear has earned international acclaim for her powerful, emotive scores and her pioneering role in both classical and contemporary music.
In recent years, Eímear has continued to expand her impressive portfolio of work, composing alongside her husband and long-time collaborator Craig Stuart Garfinkle. Together, they wrote the original score for the Irish feature film Baíte (2025), which received The Irish Academy Award for Original Score (IFTA), with critics praising their evocative and cinematic music for its emotional resonance and cultural depth. The duo also co-composed the score for the animated feature The Magic Reindeer: Saving Santa's Sleigh (2024), which earned nominations for both an Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) and an Animation Ireland Award for Best Original Score.
Eímear and Craig also composed the score for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 (2025), released in October, bringing their signature blend of orchestral drama and gothic atmosphere to one of the year's most anticipated video game releases.

She has also collaborated with Electronic Dance Music legend BT on Electronic Opus, conducted the score for Gus Van Sant's Sea of Trees starring Matthew McConaughey, and performed with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Gladys Knight.
Currently, Eímear is touring her acclaimed live show GameSymphonic, conducting major orchestras around the world in a celebration of the artistry and emotional power of video game music. The tour features her music from World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, The Legend of Zelda, Fortnite, and more, bridging the worlds of symphonic tradition and modern interactive entertainment.
In addition to her contemporary work, Eímear maintains strong classical roots. She has conducted symphonic masterpieces such as Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Stravinsky's The Firebird, and Dvorák's New World Symphony, and led the Los Angeles Ballet's inaugural production of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker-a performance that drew praise from the Los Angeles Times for its "loving care" and musical precision.
