Mel Alpern was an actor, known for In Her Shoes (2005), The Very Best of the Football Follies (1988) and Best of the Football Follies (1985). He was married to Ramona Lenny Alpern. He died on 20 July 2009 in Frisco, Texas, USA.

He was a radar instructor in the Navy during WWII.

He earned a bachelor&#39;s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Oklahoma. He also earned a master&#39;s degree in radio communications at Northwestern University.

He was an announcer, narrator, and voice-over artist for radio, television, documentaries, and commercials for over 50 years, mostly in Philadelphia.
