- Dick Goddard was a meteorologist, author, cartoonist, and animal rights activist from Cleveland, Ohio. For over five decades he served as chief meteorologist of Cleveland's WJW TV. He is a veteran of the US Air Force where he began taking classes on weather. He later graduated from Kent State University with degrees in drama and broadcasting and got his first meteorology job at Cleveland's KYW-TV. In 1966 he would move to WJW where he would be chief meteorologist for the rest of his career.
