- Aleix was born in Barcelona in the early 1980s. From a young age, he launched his career in the film industry by studying makeup and working on numerous short films and commercials.
Later, in 2004, he joined the team at the renowned special makeup effects company DDT SFX, led by David Martí and Montse Ribé. There, he honed his skills and mastered the trade while working on highly acclaimed films such as Pan's Labyrinth, A Monster Calls, Agora, The Impossible, and The Skin I Live In.
He subsequently opened his own workshop, Zero SFX, where he began supervising audiovisual projects and leading a team of artists. Under the same roof, he trained dozens of future prosthetic makeup artists at his own school, Zero SFX Training, teaching disciplines such as prosthetics, animatronics, sculpting, and hyperrealistic art for cinema. Driven by his extensive experience heading the workshop, he has transitioned into the role of Prosthetic Makeup Designer and Department Head for several film productions over the years.
Today, he lives in Italy and co-manages Zero Studio FX, while also working as a freelance Prosthetic Make-up Artist for workshops and projects worldwide.
