Cindy Sheehan was born on July 10, 1957 in Inglewood, California, USA. She is an actress, known for A Single Woman (2008), Journey to Royal: A WWII Rescue Mission (2021) and Rise Like Lions (2011). She has been married to Patrick Sheehan since April 30, 1977. They have four children.

Writes commentaries and blogs on the libertarian-conservative website LewRockwell.com, HuffingtonPost.com, etc.

Is an anti-war protester and activist who opposes the the War in Iraq and President Bush's War on Terrorism. She publicly came out against the war due to the death of her son Casey, who was killed while on active duty in the military in Iraq on April 4, 2004.

Left the Democratic Party in 2007, then as an independent candidate challenged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her Congressional seat when the latter declined to launch impeachment proceedings against President George W. Bush.

I take responsibility partly for my son's death, too. I was raised in a country by a public school system that taught us that America was good, that America was just. America has been killing people, like my sister over here says, since we first stepped on this continent, we have been responsible for death and destruction. I passed on that bullshit to my son and my son enlisted. I'm going all over the country telling moms: This country is not worth dying for.
