Renowned for his work as a film composer, music producer and pianist, Alex Oh boasts over two decades of experience and stands out as one of Singapore's most prolific and versatile film composer. His philosophy is simple - To tell stories through music.
Having composed scores for numerous feature films spanning regions such as Singapore, Australia, China, and the United States, Alex has demonstrated his versatility across genres like comedy, family drama, action, and horror. Notable works include "Geylang", It's a Great Great World", "Faeryville", "Bait", "Rule No. 1" and "The Maid". Additionally, he has collaborated with advertising giants like Lowe, Y&R, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Erickson, and TBWA, composing music for numerous commercials.
Alex was honored "Top Local Soundtrack" award at the 22nd COMPASS (Composers and Authors Society of Singapore) 2017 awards ceremony and received nominations for "Best Original Score" from the Apollo Awards 2017 and the Asian Television Awards 2004.
Alex holds a Masters in Arts specializing in Scoring for Film and Visual Media from Dublin, he learned from the best in the industry, including Hollywood legends like Christopher Young and Conrad Pope. His journey takes him across the globe, from the glimmering lights of LA to the vibrant landscapes of Singapore, Dublin, and Shanghai, as he continues to create movie magic through his film scores.
