J. McAlary, CSA is an Emmy-nominated casting director, former Senior Casting Executive at Amazon Studios, and transgender woman whose work spans independent and studio film and television. As Senior Casting Executive at Amazon Studios, McAlary oversaw casting on feature films including Road House, Heads of State, and Candy Cane Lane. Prior to joining Amazon, independent casting credits included The L Word: Generation Q, Them That Follow, Trinkets (Daytime Emmy Award nomination), 6 Balloons, Nocturne, Cargo, Unfriended, and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.
