Peter Goldwyn is an American film producer and entertainment executive who serves as the President of Samuel Goldwyn Films. A third-generation member of a legendary Hollywood dynasty, he grew up immersed in the independent film industry before attending Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Goldwyn officially joined Samuel Goldwyn Films in the early 2000s, working extensively across the studio's distribution, marketing, and legal acquisition branches. He took over full leadership of the company following the passing of his father, Samuel Goldwyn Jr., in 2015. Under his direction, the studio has expanded heavily into digital streaming platforms while maintaining its core focus on discovering, acquiring, and distributing critically acclaimed independent, documentary, and foreign language films to global audiences.
Beyond corporate leadership, Goldwyn has actively worked on film sets in production management, camera departments, and as an executive producer. His producing and executive credits span independent features, shorts, and documentaries, including Pretty Things (2005) and As Good As Dead 2.
