Biography

Tina Kalivas is a Costume Designer that comes from a fashion background. In her early years she worked alongside Alexander McQueen for 4 years constructing many of his iconic show pieces. She went onto run her own fashion label, selling her creations to high-end world-wide boutiques and gained commissions to design pieces for a variety of talents including Amy Winehouse, Dita Von Tease, and Rihanna, all of which are highly recognizable to this day. A skilled and technical designer, Tina especially loves to tailor and construct costumes from the ground up. Tina was nominated for an Asian Film Award for the Japanese Fantasy Feature 'Goemon' in 2010 and in 2021 for a British Independent Film Award for Best Costume Design for 'Saint Maud'. She has designed television series such as 'The Girlfriend Experience' and 'The Man Who Fell to Earth', utilising her edgy style, as well as creating original alien costumes. She then delved into the world of stylish action movies. In 2022 Guy Ritchie's 'Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre', and soon to be released, 'Ballerina', a John Wick spin off by Lionsgate, featuring Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves. Most recently Tina designed the costumes for the Biblical Thriller, 'Mary' featuring Sir Anthony Hopkins and newcomer Noa Cohen. A very creative project, shot in Morocco where Tina completely found herself in her creative element.
