Biography

Benjamin Hidalgo de la Barrera was born in Mexico City, Mexico, in 1974. He attended the Centre d'Estudis Cinematografics da Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, specializing in Cinematography. Eager to understand his craft more profoundly, Benjamin has worked professionally within the Photography Department (Camera, Lighting, Grip) for feature films, documentaries, television series, commercials and short films in the Spanish and Australian film industries. Today he has shot and endless number of short films, 2 low-budget feature film, a TV series and is an active member of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
