Biography

Charles Villiers Stanford was born on September 30, 1852 in Dublin, Irish Free State. He was married to Jane Anna Maria Wetton. He died on March 29, 1924 in London, England, UK.

He was awarded the Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire in the 1901 King's Honours List for his services to music.

He was interred at Westminster Abbey in London, England in the North Choir Aisle plot.
