Lauren London first appeared in the film, ATL, opposite actor and recording artist, Tip "TI" Harris. Due to London's breakout success in ATL, she received an offer to star in the film, This Christmas, with Loretta Devine, Idris Elba and Regina King. Her next film role was in the teen romantic comedy, I Love You, Beth Cooper, opposite Hayden Panettiere. London made her television debut on Everybody Hates Chris. Her other television credits include a recurring guest star role on HBO's Entourage, a recurring guest star role on CW's 90210 and a special guest star role in the VH1 series, Singles Ladies, executive produced by Queen Latifah. London's next feature film is Madea's Big Happy Family, directed by Tyler Perry. She is a Los Angeles native.

I relate to her struggle with who she's trying to be. She's not feeling comfortable with restrictions and I remember being that way at 17 and rebelling against what everyone wanted me to be and who I thought I wanted to be, so I related to aspect of her. Not the rich part though. (Relating to her character in ATL)
Barbra Streisand has always been an inspiration for me. I admire Jennifer Lopez because she's been against all the odds and she's made such a name for herself and she can put her name on anything and it sells and I admire that about her, but Barbara Streisand and Woody Allen are my favorites.
I'm really big neo-soul, hip hop fan. I like going to concerts like floe try. I love doing that on my downtime. I listen to music and hang out with my friends and try to read up on scripts and stuff.

I do remember being teased by my cousins on my mom's side for not being Black enough... And then I'd spend the summer with my dad and be sent to all white summer camps where I was 'that Black girl.'... If someone thinks I'm not Black enough that's their issue... I'm okay with who I am and it is what is. I'm a Black woman like my mother, and I love who my father is, and I love both sides of me. Nobody makes a big deaI about it anymore because I won't take that anymore.
