Javier Ambrossi was born on June 24, 1984, in Madrid. He is a director, writer, and producer. Together with Javier Calvo, he has created acclaimed works including La llamada, Paquita Salas, Veneno, and La Mesías. Veneno won a GLAAD Media Award and was named one of the year’s best series by Variety, The New Yorker, Vulture, and The New York Times. In 2026, he premiered La bola negra, starring Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close, which won him the Best Director prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
