Biography

A traditional animator and artist living in Cincinnati, Joe was swept up in the Monster craze of the 60's. While other passions and interests have kept him busy through most of his life, the classic Monsters and their movies have never been far away. He cites the classic horror movies, Hollywood cartoons and vintage music as the most influential things that shaped his life and career. More accumulator than collector he and his supportive wife Patty (they were married in 1975) continually strive to find more room in their home for the growing number of movies, books, player piano rolls and 78rpm records. The Monster toys live with him at his office. "Our greatest achievement has been raising two successful kids who not only watch B&W films but love them." Thanks to a supportive Mom who carefully packed them away when his interest waned, he still has his original Aurora Monster models.
