Biography

Richard Lee Givens is an American actor, writer, producer, director, voiceover artist, content creator, and licensed real estate professional. His acting credits include *Star Trek: Insurrection*, where he portrayed an Operations Division Ensign, and the television film *Tyson*, in which he played Butch Lewis alongside Paul Winfield, James B. Sikking, Reg E. Cathey, Michael Jace, and other notable performers.

After studying radio broadcasting at Los Angeles Valley College under legendary KROQ personality Spacin' Scott Mason, Givens worked in computer operations before pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

As the founder of L.A. Beats Productions, Givens has established himself as an independent filmmaker with work spanning action, drama, horror, comedy, and thriller genres. His credits include *Rampart* (2005), *Broken Glass* (2006), *Zombies Unleashed* (2010), *A Little Problem* (2014), *The Park* (2017), *The Date* (2020), and *The Date: Director's Cut* (2022). Across many of these productions, he has served as writer, producer, director, and actor, reflecting his commitment to creating original independent films.

As of 2026, Givens is developing and producing *Shadow*, an upcoming thriller.
