PJ Germain is a Director/Writer/Producer born Patrick Joseph Germain, and is originally from Upstate New York.

PJ received a B.A. in Film from Hofstra University (2008) and an M.F.A. in Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory (2013).

Is of French Haitian and Indian descent.

PJ Germain is an award-winning filmmaker, creative director and film editor based in Los Angeles, California, with a background in narrative storytelling for film, television and streaming. Raised just outside of New York City, PJ developed an affinity for storytelling at a very early age and pursued his craft into college and beyond. PJ received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film from Hofstra University in 2008, and an Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2013. As a fellow of the American Film Institute's Directing Program, PJ was awarded by the LucasFilm Foundation, Deluxe Laboratories, Kodak Film and Panavision for the production of his Master's Thesis Film, Ghost Light (2014), starring Abraham Benrubi and Jordan Michael Thompson.

PJ's professional career started with the post production teams of James Cameron's Avatar (2009), Alexandre Aja's Piranha 3D (2010) and the television series Deadliest Catch (2005). He is a member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild, and served as an Assistant Editor for the FX Series Kindred (2022), by showrunner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins as well as the Academy Award Shortlisted film Go for Grandma (2023), directed by Sabrina Doyle.

PJ is the Creative Content Producer at Cool Beans Comedy. Working both behind the camera and in the editing room, PJ has provided support on content for Disney, Universal, Paramount, and Netflix. As part of the Cool Beans family, PJ is the co-creator of the anthology comedy series, Cool Beans Short Cuts. In 2024, PJ won two Webby Awards for his behind the camera work with Cool Beans Comedy, headed by producers Corey Martin Craig and Suzanne Luna.

PJ's most recent film, Worst Thing You've Ever Done (2025), is on the film festival circuit as of 2026, and premiered in 2025 at Screamfest, Nightmares Film Festival and Horrorigins.

PJ is of French Haitian and Indian descent. He is also the founder of Shattered Entertainment, LLC.
