Robert Galinsky (aka Galinsky) is a multifaceted director, actor, coach, and playwright. He was awarded the "Face of Compassion in America Award" by the Muhammad Ali Center, is a guest lecturer at the Juilliard School in the Jazz Studies Department, teaches at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison through Literacy for Incarcerated Teens, and he recently lectured at Oxford University on "Literacy and Teenagers in Prison."
Galinsky debuted Off-Broadway as playwright and actor at the Cherry Lane Theater in his acclaimed solo show "The Bench, A Homeless Love Story" directed by Jay O. Sanders, produced by Terry Schnuck, and presented by Barry "Shabaka" Henley and Galinsky recently directed and produced the award winning Off-Broadway solo show, "Tripping On Life", by Hollywood horror icon Lin Shaye.
He has directed and co-authored over 50 TEDx Talks and was selected to perform his iconic poem "Five Fights" at the 2022 Whitney Biennial (where it remains in the permanent collection.) He is recognized, and extolled, for his work as head speaker coach of TEDxTeen as well as for his unique ability to engage incarcerated and imprisoned youth with literacy, writing, and theatre while also taking the same methodologies and successfully applying them to CEO's, lawyers, and c-suite executives.
Notable coaching clients include: 50 Cent (actor, Hip Hop artist), Edgerrin James (Hall of Fame football player), Chelsea Clinton (TEDxTeen), and Winnie Harlow (fashion icon) among others.
