- Gene Stupnitsky was born on August 26, 1977 in Kyiv, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union [now Kyiv, Ukraine]. He is a producer and writer, known for The Office (2005), Good Boys (2019) and Jury Duty Presents (2023).
- Alongside writing partner Lee Eisenberg, he did an uncredited set of revisions to the Katie Dippold script for The Heat (2013). Paul Feig brought to two on board to fix up the script. They contributed material, including the addition of the Marlon Wayans character, along with a few more tweaks that weren't in the original Dippold version.
- Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, but moved with his parents to the Chicago suburbs when he was 9 months old.
- Alongside writing partner Lee Eisenberg, he did a rewrite of the action comedy Central Intelligence (2016).
- His grandparents were observant Jews, his parents less so. Still, he grew up with a sense of Jewish identity and had a bar mitzvah.
